I am pretty far behind on all of my pictures so I need to kick it into high gear. This year our dance recital was a little bit different. I was the assistant teacher all year until about 2 weeks before I had Presly. I was out for a few weeks and then back to teaching as soon as I felt good enough. I, however was not feeling like I really wanted to get on stage and shake my booty so I opted out this year. I'm not going to lie part of me was sad because I really love to perform and it does make me happy especially after working so hard on our dances. On the other hand it was so nice not having that added stress. I loved being able to just be there for my girls. Brooklyn was in jazz/hip hop this year and ballet. Nikell just did ballet. They both did so well and really enjoyed being on the big stage. Nikell was born to dance, she did so well and you can tell she loves it. Brooklyn wasn't as happy dancing this year and I am not sure if it was just the jazz dance they learned wasn't her favorite or what but she told me she didn't want to do jazz next year. We will see if she still wants to do ballet. She did great and I love seeing her cute smile when she is up there. It's also so dang cute when she see's me and Toby in the audience and waves to us. I love my little dancers and am so happy they had a fun time.
Recital week is crazy, there are 2 day's of dress rehearsal an then two day's of performances. It was crazy trying to juggle things especially with Toby being on call and me having to nurse Presly. We made it through the week though and everything worked out.
Brooklyns jazz dance was to the song "get up off of that thing" She danced with her cute friend Jaydin. Her Ballet dance was to "music box dancer" She was in that with Dylen, Sydney and Chloe.
Nikell's dance was to "Pretty Ballerina" She started the year out dancing with Kiya her best little friend but Kiya decided she didn't want to dance half way through the year so Nikell met some new little friends in her class.
The girls both did the finale dance for the first few day's but on the day of the real performance they had balloons fall from above and they were popping like crazy and it scared Nikell so she decided she didn't want to do the finale anymore.
Presly is such a good baby and if it weren't for me struggling with nursing and my milk supply everything would have been perfect. When Presly turned 4 months old I stopped nursing her for a few reasons. Since then we have both been much happier.
