Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we decided to go with all our friends out to del osso farms for our traditional pumpkin patch outing. We were about to get off the freeway and we look over at the pumpkin patch and were shocked. It was like everyone and their dog thought it would be fun to go to the pumpkin patch that night. The amount of cars was un real, there were cars lined up all the way from the freeway waiting to get in. It looked like they opened more parking in a field next to it as well. We really couldn't believe how crazy it was and we really didn't want to wait for an our just to park. We decided to go to another pumpkin patch that was smaller instead. We met all our friends at the other pumpkin patch and had a really fun night. The kids have so much fun playing together and it was so great to be able to hang out with our friends. After all our fun we all decided to get some dinner at red robin. It was crazy trying to seat all 18 of us but it was so much fun. We have such great friends and are so happy when our kids are able to play so well together!

Brooklyn is 5

When Brooklyn turned 5 I took her out for her very own photo shoot. My girls still really like getting their pictures taken although the excitement soon wears off after a few minutes! This time though Brooklyn did so awesome. She did everything I asked her too and she stayed happy almost the whole entire time. Towards the end she started to get tired and thats when I knew we were done. When I was editing all of these pictures I just couldn't believe how big my little bing is now. Sometimes I just want to freeze my kids so they don't grow anymore! If I could freeze them at 3 years old I would! After that they start to go through really tough phases and Brooklyn is starting to be full of drama. At times she is really hard to handle. If she is getting her way then we here "oh mom/dad you are the best EVER! I love you so much" if she isn't getting her way it's "you never give me anything, I should just move to another house". It's always funny to see her go from one extreme to the next in a matter of minutes too. We love our Brooklyn so much and love it when she is the sweet happy girl that she is half the time;). Brooklyn is such a good big sister and for the most part is so sweet to Nikell and takes such good care of her. The way she shows an receives love is by saying nice words like "I love you" and also doing things for someone else like drawing pictures for them. She has a lot of love to give and she can be the biggest sweetheart but she also comes with a little fire in her and she can blow up quickly (probably got that from me:)). We love you bingy and love it that you take care of us all!

27 weeks

I guess it is about time I write about my pregnancy. I feel like my life has been so crazy, it's all I can do to just stay caught up on everything else going on. I can finally say for the past few months that I have felt amazing and this pregnancy is finally to a point were I actually enjoy being pregnant. At the beginning of my pregnancy I started to itch, it started out pretty harmless but got worse and worse through the weeks. It got to the point were I was completely miserable and dealing with my whole body itching was the only thing I could think about or do. Most day's were filled with tears and most nights were sleeping an hour or two if I was lucky and the rest of the time I was itching myself to the point of bleeding. I would take baths like 3 times a day. My poor kids pretty much took care of themselves during the day unless Brittney came by to help or until Toby got home from work. I had tests done to figure out what was wrong and no one had an answer. I tried herbs and I tried every lotion and creme out there almost. At about 15 weeks pregnant or so the itching all of a sudden started to get better little by little until it was gone completely. I can't tell you how relieved me and everyone else was that I finally was feeling better. After I got better I was a new woman. I have enjoyed my pregnancy so much since then and I am so grateful that whatever was going on with my body had finally gone away. I remember one sunday night in particular, Toby was on call and was still working well into the evening. I was laying on the living room floor crying and Brooklyn came and sat next to me, got up on her knees and began to pray. "please, please, please Hevenly Father bless my mommy to stop itching. Please, please, please bless that she will feel better and the tears will go away." The only thing that got me through that time was prayers and blessings that Toby gave me. I am so grateful for that!
Now that I have been feeling great I have been busy with kids having all kinds of activities and also being busy with high school senior portraits and teaching dance. My second trimester has just flown by and I am so happy with the way I feel and the things I am able to do. I do get out of breath pretty fast when I am taking pictures and I look a tiny bit ridiculous in hip hop class getting down like I normally do but it's all good.
Toby and I, with the help of our girls decided on a name for our little girl. Presly Jane will be her name. Jane is a name we got from Toby's side of the family. I think it is one of his great or great, great, grandmothers names. It has been so fun to have the girls talk about her and get excited to have her as a part of our family. They are going to be the best big sisters and help me out so much. The other day I spent a whole day going through all my baby clothes and one thing is for sure, I don't need to do any clothes shopping. This girl has way more clothes then she will ever need!
I hope the next three months I will stay feeling good and I can finish a few more projects that need to get done before she arrives. Now back to my crazy life:).

General Conference

A few weeks ago for General Conference I wanted to do something fun that could maybe help the girls be excited about watching and listening. It turned out great and they loved it and I am thinking this may have to be a tradition from now on:).
Toby went to the store and got a bunch of little snacks and fruit. I put each of them in their own little cup and on the front of each cup I wrote down a subject that I knew would most likely be talked about in conference. I had a few on each cup, for example, Temples, Families, Love, Jesus Christ, Missionary work, Service etc. Every time one of the words was talked about the girls got to eat a few of whatever was in that cup. They listened really well and were excited about getting to eat their little snacks in the living room which usually isn't ok. They also loved setting up there sleeping bags and pillows and had fun camping out in the living room all day. I also printed a ton of pictures from lds.org for them to color while they were listening. All in all it was a fun day! Nikell was hilarious and was repeating just about every word that the speaker would say because she really wanted a snack. It was pretty funny.

Silly Sleeper

The other night Toby got home from the gym at about 11 at night and went up to shower. Before heading into the shower he checked in our girls and yelled down to me to grab my camera. Nikell was fast asleep in this position, who knows how long she had been that way. She is so funny. We have seen her in so many different positions like this in her sleep. Sometimes she will be completely folded in half, I have found her asleep on her floor no where even close to her bed, She has been upside down a number of times and has even fallen out of bed without waking up. You would think she was a deep sleeper but the second you go in the room and touch her head or kiss her she wakes up. Last night I heard mumbling going on up in her room so I went to check on her and she was fast asleep but she was saying the pledge of allegiance but before finishing it she broke into song singing the national anthem and then before she finished that she started singing another song about our flag being red and white and blue in the corner. I am assuming they do this routine at school but I was cracking up that she was full on saying things and singing these songs perfectly while she was fast asleep. After she was done she didn't even stir. So funny!
