I was at a photo shoot the other night and I put a new memory card in my camera. I was ready to start shooting and then realized the card had pictures on it still. Apparently I took these pictures and totally forgot to put them onto my computer. I really needed the memory card at my photoshoot but wasn't about to erase pictures from brooklyn's 6th birthday so instead I tried to make due. I did have to erase a few, one being the part when Toby was taking the birthday cake back in the house after we had been done eating and it slipped off his hand and splatted onto the pavement. The picture didn't do it justice anyway though because it was taken after the fact. It was pretty hilarious though. Anyways I am so glad I have these pictures without pictures like these the memories are easily lost. That is why I try to take pictures every chance I get. Our girls are just growing up so fast and I don't want to forget a thing!! I love them!!

6 Years Old
Brooklyn is 6!! What? Where does the time go? I was just looking at pictures of Brooklyn when she was like 3 and I was dying over her chubby little cheeks and her short curly hair. My sweet Brooklyn is growing into a beautiful big girl I just can't believe we are here already! I think the first time I realized she was becoming a big girl is when she told me she didn't want to be a princess for halloween anymore she wanted to be a movie star. Of course I talked her back into being a princess but she is on the brink of letting go of all those little girl things that she loves so much. It makes me sad:(. I want her to be this innocent and little forever!!
For Brooklyn's birthday I took some cupcakes into her kindergarten class. She told me she wanted dolphins on the top of her cupcakes because that way the boy's and the girls would like them. She is so thoughtful! One of her favorite movies is Dolphin Tail. She also loves watching the animal planet channel with Toby. She LOVES animals! Her dream is to swim with a dolphin someday.
It was so fun to see Brooklyn interact at school with her friends. She was actually acting a little bit shy when she had to sit in front while everyone sang to her. I haven't seen that side of her before. My baby is growing up.
Nikell loved being in her class with her and was excited to get a cupcake too. I have to bring up the fact that in these pictures Nikell is doing what she does all too often but I don't think I get many pictures of it. She takes her hair and rubs it between her fingers, tickles it on her ear, her face, her lips and when know one is watching she even sucks on it or sticks it up her noes. Yes gross I know! I find clumps of bugers in her hair when I am brushing her hair in the morning. ha ha I love this little quirck about my Kella. She has been doing this with her hair since she discovered it on top of her head. I hope she never stops! (well, maybe she can stop putting it up her nose, I would be ok with that;))

Brooklyn's Birthday Celebration
This year Brooklyn decided to go bowling for her birthday. We actually haven't been bowling with our kids since we were in Utah like a year ago or so. I don't know why we don't go more because the girls loved it! They actually both bowled better than I did. ha ha not really a surprise there, but still. Toby of course, thinks he is like a professional bowler and talks about back in the day when he was on a bowling league all the time. We had a lot of fun and we decided it is something we definitely should do more. Brooklyn chose to go to Ihop for dinner. I was so surprised when instead of getting the giant happy face pancake that is chocolate and super unhealthy she decided to just get eggs and a small pancake with fruit. She told us it was because she really wants to be healthy. :) Lately she has been saying things like this. She will say, mom instead of getting juice I am going to just have water because I want to be healthy. She makes me smile. We told her at dinner it was her birthday and it was ok to have the happy face pancake if thats what she really wanted and she still said no, she wanted to be healthy. so funny.
