The best Christmas ever!!!

The day before Christmas Eve I was just hanging out with the girls at the house planning meals for the next few day's when the door bell rang. Brooklyn isn't suppose to answer the front door on her own but for some reason she did and who do I hear at the front door, my dad! I couldn't believe my ears, I ran to look and I saw my mom, dad and brother Aaron standing there. I was beyond excited it was the best Christmas present I could have asked for!! We had so much fun while they were here. Christmas Eve we made sugar cookies and our traditional soup and salad for dinner. We enjoyed reading from the scriptures the story of Jesus Christ's birth and singing christmas songs while my dad played the guitar. I love these traditions and I was so sad that for the second year in a row we wouldn't be able to enjoy these things in Utah with my family. But to my surprise my parents brought home to us and it was the happiest Christmas of all!!

Christmas Morning

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!! We had a really fun Christmas morning at our house. With the surprise of my parents and brother coming into town we had a lot more fun then we would have all alone! I wanted to give a quick little preview for the family back at home to see a glimpse of how are morning went. Some of these pictures are from my moms camera and some from mine. We have some very happy girls at our house!!

My talented, awesome sister made these cute chef outfits for the girls and they LOVE them. She worked so hard and did such a amazing job. Aren't they darling!! I told her she should sell them on etsy! SO CUTE!
Lots more fun and pictures to come.

Almost forgot

We had a visitor who dropped by one night and left treats in our shoes. St Nicholas day is on December 6th, I took these pictures and forgot all about them. This tradition is one that is new for me but Toby had it all growing up. Brooklyn and Nikell loved finding candy in their shoes in the morning and were so excited to show me that I too had something from St Nicholas. Yea for Christmas traditions!!

I just had to add this picture because she is just so dang cute!

Preschool and Nutcracker

I realize those two things have nothing in common but I needed to cover them both so here ya go.
Brooklyn is loving her preschool class she is alway's so excited about what she is learning and she now will come home and just ask how to spell things all day so she can write letters to friends and family members. Nikell gets sad when we drop Brooklyn off at school and always say's "Brooklyn I will miss you!" Nikell insists on waving to Brooklyn when we leave and if she doesn't see Brooklyn wave back she gets pretty upset. She loves her big sister!
The other night we went as a family to the nutcracker. The girls were in heaven, they loved it so much. Brooklyn started crying during half of it because she I told her she couldn't go down and dance on the stage with the princess ballerinas. Toby was a good sport even though I know it wasn't his favorite thing. It is so nice of him to support his girls like that! Love him!
Oh yea, I also have bangs now, it has been an adjustment but I really like them now and am having fun with the change.:)
