Christmas spirit!

Tonight we took a little drive around our town to see all the Christmas lights. We listened to Christmas music and just enjoyed all of the beautiful lights. I love this time of year so much, it makes me happy! It was a fun night something I am sure we will have to continue to do every year! My favorite part was the girls singing Christmas songs in the back seat and giggling together.:)

Last but not least this is our house and our two Christmas trees:)

Ugly sweater party

A friend of ours invited us and a bunch of other friends from our ward to and Ugly Christmas sweater party. First of all I thought I had our sweaters from the last party we had last year so I didn't need to really worry about finding one. Well the night of the party came and I searched my house everywhere to find our sweaters. Luckily I found the one I wore last year but I couldn't find Toby's. SO, My awesome babysitter saved the day and lent me one of hers then she put some of the ornaments from my CHristmas tree on it and it turned out pretty hideous! Toby wore the sweater I wore last year and it was hysterical. It was a belly shirt on him and it was a hit at the party! We played games until way too late and had a fabulous time!!
Yes I took myself out of this picture I looked like crap!
Also sorry for the really blurry pictures!

Christmas tree farm

On Saturday Toby was on call and he was really busy going from surgery to surgery. There was one point in the day where he was able to come home for a little bit so we took that opportunity to run to the Christmas tree farm and get a Christmas tree. We were there for about 20 minutes and then Toby had to run to another surgery. Luckily we found the perfect tree pretty quickly and the girls even got to visit with Santa.
Brooklyn comes up to me and said mom, I think that Santa is just a pretend santa. She loved him though, at one point she just went over and stood by Santa for about 5 minutes. She didn't talk or anything she was just content being with him. The santa looked at me and chuckled a little at how cute it was. On the way home the tree almost fell of the top of the car, I guess I should have driven a little bit slower, driving slow is just not something I'm good at;).

Christmas program

We had our ward Christmas party on Saturday. Toby was on call and was really busy but was luckily able to make it to see Brooklyn sing with the primary. This is the first time Brooklyn has sung with the primary in front of everyone and she did so awesome. She sang all the songs so loud I was so proud of her!!!! Ward Christmas parties really are the best! The only down fall is it was pretty early in the morning, (well early for me) So of course I was pretty tired the rest of the day. But it was a very yummy breakfast and we all had a great time!!My cute new friend Valerie, she is a photographer too we have a lot in common, she is a lot of fun!

Brooklyn has met some really fun friends this is Hannah and Chloe.
Being grouchy (apparently my girls aren't to fond of mornings either;))

During the program Brooklyn kept saying mommy I can't see baby Jesus's face. Right after it was over I looked around and couldn't find Brooklyn anywhere, this is were I found her.

Catch up

So I haven't been the best blogger lately with how busy I have been but to be honest life hasn't been that exciting lately. Brooklyn is still loving preschool and is learning some new things like she can spell mommy and daddy and she is starting to sound out words, it's really cute! She has been trying my patience a little though. The other day after leaving office max I look down at Brooklyn and I see she is hiding something behind her back. I asked her if she had something and she said no. Well come to find out she totally lifted some m&ms from the store. Awesome! Nikell is seriously a little talker. She talks and talks and talks and talks all day long. When Nikell was a baby she had this raspy little cry, we used to call her squeaker. Now it has turned into a very low raspy voice and it is so cute! She speaks in sentences and say's these big words that make Toby and I crack up. She also is a complete goof and loves to make people laugh at her. Toby is just doing the same old thing with work and seems to be very happy with it. I have been busy with pictures which is so much fun and I am loving it!
I wanted to post a few pictures I had from the last few weeks. I hope everyone is having fun with all the holiday shopping and decorating, I know I am:).
I am sending out Christmas cards soon so please email me your address's if you know I don't have yours or if you've moved since last year. Thanks!!:)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Today we are enjoying our Thanksgiving Day at home with our little family. It is a little bitter sweet, we miss being in Utah with everyone but it is nice to be able to start our own traditions. We have already made our pumpkin rolls and are looking forward to Toby's yummy turkey. I am so grateful for my many blessings and hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving!!

Twenty nine, yikes!

On the 16th I turned 29 and I am not really sure how I feel about it yet. I think I am ok with it but it really is the next birthday that I am afraid of. Aside from the getting older part of my birthday I really had a great day! I really am blessed with the best friends and family in the world, I seriously am! I got so many messages and calls and gifts and I just really, really felt special!!

My husband really deserves an award for being so good to me. He always makes my birthday so awesome and goes out of his way to makes me so happy! When I woke up on my birthday Toby took the girls for about an hour so that I could have some alone time, so I could get ready and relax for a little while. When he got back he brought me my favorite thing these days, Starbucks, I love Starbucks hot chocolate so he got me that and a donut, my favorite thing to eat for breakfast. He then proceeded to take care of the kids and everything for that matter for most of the day and never going longer then an hour without telling me happy birthday again.:) I love him so much he makes life so fun and I am so lucky to have him! Brooklyn and Nikell had fun helping me open my presents and were very happy that it was my birthday so that they could have birthday cake;) They are so sweet and made my day perfect. Toby ended the day by taking me and Misty on a date, yes he is a very lucky man! Misty's husband had to work so Toby got to ladies for the evening. We went to sushi (my favorite) and then just Toby and I went to a movie. It was an awesome day!

Not very many people can say they got a Hanukkah card on their birthday. With my husband you can never be too sure what type of card you will get next. I think one time I got a christening card on mothers day. He is always full of surprises. You might be thinking that he just grabs the first card he see's but NO, he looks around for the perfect one. This year it was Hanukkah!
My parents got me a really cute outfit!

This baby was my birthday present! Wahoo!!!
I also received some really beautiful flowers from Toby's parents and a gift from my sweet friend Lorilee.
Thanks everyone for all the sweet messages that you sent me! It really was the perfect day!!
