For Christmas Brooklyn got tickets for the Olympic trials held in San Jose this summer. Misty got Dylen tickets so we could take them together. They were excited when the day finally came. The trials were two day's so the first day we invited Brooklyn's friend Jada to join us for the first day and then we went home for the night and picked up Nikell to come back out with us and we stayed the night. It was a lot of fun and the kids were in heaven watching their favorite gymnasts. Who are we kidding, I was in heaven! Brooklyn's favorite gymnast is Gabbi Douglas, last year olympian. It was such a cool experience being there to witness these girls make the olympic team.
Brooklyn got a really cool opportunity while we were there, her coach chose her to go down onto the main flour and be in a handstand competition. There were about 20 or more girls who were selected to be in the contest and Brooklyn got 3rd place. She did so well and we were all screaming for her and so excited for her. She didn't even notice that the entire gymnastics team walked right by her when they walked off the mat to go find out who made the olympic team. Such an exciting few day's and lots of fun with these cute girls for sure!
