Too big

When we got home after our very long drive I put Presly on the ground to roll around and stretch her legs a little. She was in that car seat of hers for a very long time! All of the sudden the little chubs gets up in a plank position and starts to put her knees in like she wants to crawl away. At 5 months old I am just not ready for her to start crawling yet. I feel like every single day this little girl learns something new. It seems like just a few weeks ago she started sitting up on her own and before that she started rolling. She just doesn't waste any time! I love watching her try to get up on all fours she is so stinkin cute!!

Best Friends!

So many times, I go to Utah and I don't have any time to see my friends. It makes me sad because sometimes all I want to do is go out with my friends and talk to them and hang out and have good times with them again. I miss them and wish so much I was able to see them all the time! So, the last day we were in Utah I got a hold of 3 of my friends and had them all meet me at a water park in Alpine. I only had like an hour with all of them and to be honest it just made me want to be with them more. I love my girls and miss them so much! Corianne (the one sitting next to me with the sunglasses on) and me have been friends since like 7th or 8th grade. We have had some really good times together! So many of my memories have her in it. From my very first kiss all the way up to when I met my hubby! I even did her hair for her wedding. I love her so much and can honestly say she is the friend I have stayed the closest too through the years. It helps that we both have the same passion for photography. Holly (the girl on the very left in the pics with the dark curly hair) became friends with us somewhere around 9th grade I think. Holly and I became really close in 10th and 11th grade and we both went to beauty school. After that we kind of went our separate way's for a while but then started talking again through the years a little bit. No matter how much time goes without talking though it doesn't matter, we always feel like we didn't skip a beat. Kalli (the hotty on the end with hair a lot like mine) and I became close after high school. In fact she went to a whole different school then I did. I met her through Corianne and it didn't take long for Kalli and I to become very very close friends. I love that girl! She and I were roommates while Toby and I dated and we used to have the best time together! She makes me laugh so dang much and I miss the day's of rolling in her 4runner singing to all our sweet music.

Princess Festival

Thanksgiving point now has a princess festival. I am not sure if it is just there for a little while or if it is always there. Toby's sister Amy told us about it and we thought the girls would love it. The day we went was seriously so hot but even in the heat the kids had a great time. Toby came and pretty much watched Presly the whole time so that I could walk around with the girls and everyone else. It was nice not having to worry about her. I am really glad it was fun for the girls but I am not going to lie, I was very excited to be done. I think if it wouldn't have been so hot I would have enjoyed it more. Maybe? The girls favorite was probably the 12 dancing princesses. They told their story and let all the little girls up to dance with them. You could tell Brooklyn and Nikell were in heaven. I'm glad they had fun and were able to be with their cousins!

Official birthday party

I guess when you are a Grandpa you get to celebrate more. We went up the Canyon on Toby's dads real birthday. We had tinfoil dinners and I can't even remember the last time I have done that. I think Toby and I were dating the last time I had tin foil dinners. It's also been a really long time since we have been up the canyon. I remember going rock climbing up the American Fork canyon when I was like 16 or 17 with my brothers. I also spent a lot of time up there with friends in high school. Some of my most favorite memories are snowmobiling with Toby when we were dating. Toby was telling me about all the good times he and his friends used to have up there too. We love that canyon and were both so happy to be spending some time up there.

Cowabunga

There is a water park in like Draper that we pass whenever we are driving to Alpine that I have always thought would be fun to go too. While we were in Utah this time we decided it would be fun to go. It was a really fun water park! Perfect for our kids! They had these cabanas that you could rent that had a table and a lot of shade so we rented one of those that was located right next to the kiddy area. Brooklyn loved going everywhere with Taitum and Tess, she is gaining this new independence and doesn't want to be right by Toby and I anymore. She is growing up to fast and it makes me sad. I am glad that she loves her cousins so much though and that she is becoming so brave. She went on the bigger slides and can swim really well by herself in the lazy river. Nikell still likes to be right by my side and I am happy for that. She was scared to go down the slides but once we got her to do it she loved it and wanted to go a million times.

Birthday Party

After visiting my Grandpa Branch in Logan we drove down to Alpine just in time for a Birthday Party for Toby's dad. The kids were in heaven playing with more cousins. Grandma Cram and Aunt Vicki even came and it was so great to visit with them! We always love Sunday dinners at the Goeckeritz house! The food is always so yummy and it is so fun to hang out in the backyard and watch the kids play around, jump on the tramp, feed the horses grass and visit as adults. Those are always times I look forward too when going to Utah! Tess drove Brooklyn and Nikell around on her darling pink scooter and from then on Brooklyn wants one so bad!
