Friends

We are so lucky to have met so many fun friends out here in CA. Brooklyn and Nikell have so many fun little friends to play with and they seriously love them all. The other day we were invited over to our good friends, the andersons house for lunch and to swim. It is so great to have moms to hang out with that are so cool and that I have so much fun with and not only that but our kids get along so well. We are so lucky!
From left to right the kids are...
Brooklyn, Dylen, Chloe, Nikell, Max, Tay and Ryan

Swim, Swim, Swim

The last two weeks the girls had their swim lessons with our city pool. We usually like to get them in the water as much as possible every summer so that they hopefully will learn faster. Barbara has them in some more sessions coming up but in between their private swim lessons we thought they would like to take some at our city pool. The girls were in the same class and for the most part loved it. For some reason the pool was super cold though so if it wasn't a really hot day they would shiver the entire time. Brooklyn and Nikell are both doing really well. Brooklyn is a little fish and can swim really well now. She can go to the deep part of our pool and swim back without any problems and it makes me feel so much better! It will be nice when Nikell can do the same! Nikell is a little more apprehensive and is just getting used to putting her face in the water. She does really well with Barbra though so I am looking forward to the next session next week with her!

Number Three

I just wanted to share the news that I am pregnant with our third little one. I am due on Jan 29, seems so far away! Up till now I haven't felt too bad. Yes, I feel really gross a lot of the time, mostly when I don't eat, but I really can't complain too much. I am a million times better then I was when I was pregnant with Brooklyn. I am very, very grateful for that! I went to my midwife today and heard the babies heart beat, something I LOVE! I am glad that soon I will be able to go off this progesterone pill I am taking so that I can stop itching all over! I seriously have made myself bleed itching so much, it is the worst!
The girls are so excited for the baby! Whenever Nikell is cuddling with me she says "oh sorry mom I smooshed the baby" lol, and then she follows up with "did I make it cry?" Brooklyn says in every prayer "please bless the baby in mommy's tummy that it will grow big and strong and stop making mommy sick." Toby is an amazing husband and takes care of me so well. Whenever I feel yucky he just takes over and gets the kids taken care of as well as me. He is the best at making eggs on the spot even if it's like 10:00 at night. I love my little family and am excited for this new little one to come!

Yosemite

The weekend of Fathers Day, Toby made a small request to go up to Yosemite. He loves it up there and hasn't been in a few years (surprising enough). So, Saturday we headed up there along with everyone else in the world. It took us like 2 hours extra to get there because of the traffic. Once we finally got there we went to a fairly secluded spot and had a little picnic. The flowers were GORGEOUS. We had a nice lunch and walked around a little bit before getting back in the car to go back into the mess of cars. We didn't spend very much time up there walking around we mostly drove around because there wasn't really anywhere to park. The waterfalls were huge and it would have been nice to see them closer up but I was not in the mood to enjoy it with a million other people. It was a nice time spent with the fam and the girls had fun, besides when mosquitos would land on them, they would scream and cry every time. They did not like that!

Luvin summer!

About a week or so ago a bunch of friends and I had a super awesome play day. First we met at a few minutes from were we live to go blueberry picking. I don't know why I haven't ever gone before! It is so close to were I live and it was so much fun! The kids all got to pick their own buckets and then we just walked along the rows of blueberries and picked away. The blueberries are organic so we were able to just eat them right off the bush. Nikell wasn't getting very many blueberries in her bucket because she thought they all looked pretty tasty. Brooklyn is getting to the age were she just wants to be with her friends. She pretty much ditched me and Nikell and walked up with her friends Dylen, Sydney, Ashley and Max. It's ok though she had fun! After the blueberry picking we went to the Ripon water park were we like to go and let the kids run around in the water fountains. It is a great summer activity! We packed lunches and pretty much made a day of it. Luckily we found some shade because it was pretty dang hot! The kids had a great time and it was so fun to just be able to sit and talk to all my friends!
Now we have a ton of blueberries and Brooklyn has all these ideas of things she wants to bake, blueberry muffins, blueberry pie, blueberry pancakes. I think I can handle the blucberry pancakes but the pie.. yea right!

Dance pictures

I got Brooklyn's pictures back that the studio does. I thought they were cute and I would share...

Finishing Up

I guess I should post the last few pictures of the trip to Utah. The rest of the week was way better then the first of the week. Brookyn was getting her strength back and we the kids got a lot of time to play with their cousins. On Saturday we went to Thanksgiving point to the petting zoo and the kids loved it. They had fun on the pony rides and on the wagon ride. We then went to dinner at JCW's, yum! That night Toby came back to drive home with us the next day. I was so, so happy to see him. LONG week! I look forward to our next trip and hopefully we will have healthy kids the whole time!!

Toby's sister, Amy invited us to dinner on Friday night and the girls had the best time with James and Marie!
