Little dancer

For a while now I have been thinking about putting Nikell in a gymnastics or dance class. She loves to dance and whenever there is music playing she will shake her little booty around, It's pretty cute! Whenever I take Brooklyn to dance Nikell always tries to run in the room and stand on a star ready to dance. I feel so bad having to take her out and have really wanted her to have a little dance class of her own. Last week when I found this ballet class and told Nikell about it she was beyond excited. She was running all over dancing around and Toby and I were just laughing because we haven't ever seen her act so excited before. I took her to her class and she had a smile on the whole time. It makes me so happy that she can have her something just for her to do that she is excited about.

Lately I have been thinking about starting Nikell in dance. She wants to go with Brooklyn so bad every time we go but I just don't want to start her too young. I have been thinking about what to do for a while because I really want her to take something but am not quite ready to have her do the full year of dance especially because the recital is such a big thing and I don't think she is quite ready for that. I wanted to put her in the princess ballet class that Brooklyn did but the only day they have it is the one day I can't do it. So the other day I found this dance place that is about 10 mn from our house they have a class for 2 and 3 year olds and it is exactly what I have been looking for. It is only 15 mn long but it is enough to let them dance around and feel like little ballerinas. I took her tonight and she was in heaven. She was so excited that she had her very own dance class and she seriously was so happy! Every now and then during class she would come up to me and give me a big hug. She is so sweet and she makes me smile! I am so happy we found something just perfect for her!

Long time no see

Since we have moved to our new house it has been hard to see some of the old friends I used to see a lot more. I used to go to lunch with some friends that I met in my ward and I haven't seen them since we've moved. Luckily we still keep up on face book and that makes it easier to keep in contact. The other day was Michelle's birthday and we went out to lunch to celebrate. It was nice catching up and seeing them again. My girls miss them so much these women seriously were so good to them and we definitely miss seeing them more! On the way to lunch I told Brooklyn we were going to see Michelle and Doria and she got so excited. It's always fun to hang out with Misty and her mom, Jodi as well, love them! We had a great lunch it is nice having such good friends around that really love my girls.




Brooklyn started back in dance and decided she wanted to take tap this year. On the first day she was a little sleepy because to get to dance on time we had to wake her up from her nap. Hopefully next time we can get a few pictures with a smile on her face!

Tumbling

I found a class for Brooklyn that I am really excited about and so is she. It is a gymnastics class but it is just the tumbling. When I used to take gymnastics when I was young I never really liked the beam, vault and floor. I wish there had been this option for me because tumbling was my favorite. Brooklyn has been taking now for about a month and she LOVES it. She is the youngest one in her class but I am amazed at how well she listens and follows along. Nikell likes to come and watch and I am sure she will love taking it herself when she is a little older because she practices at home with Brooklyn all the time.

The other day when we were getting Brooklyn ready for school she say's to me "mom will you take a picture of me today, I need pictures of me everyday because I look so cute in my school clothes". Awesome, what am I teaching this girl?

One Day

After we spent about a week in Lake Powell we didn't have much time left over to go see all our family and friends in Utah county. We weren't even sure if we had time to go back even for a short visit. We found out though that we were having a family reunion for my family and we thought it would be nice to see everyone that we don't see very often so we left Lake Powell a day early and drove to Utah county and up to Brigham City for one day before heading back home. It was a lot of driving and it made our trip home even longer but it was nice seeing everyone even if it was just for one day.

Brooklyn was excited about the birthday presents she got from Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Denae!

The last of Lake Powell

Here I am finishing up the last of the pictures from our awesome trip to Lake Powell. We got Brooklyn to water ski again for us and Toby thought it would be fun to wake board with Nikell on his shoulders. This was actually quite entertaining and she is one brave little girl. I loved when he was just starting out trying to get up and she was holding on to his eyes so he couldn't see. Everyone was laughing pretty hard. When they were done and I was holding Nikell I said to her, "was that fun?" she goes "ya, mom!" I said "do you want to do it again?" then she goes "no thanks mom!" Such a sweet little girl I love her!
