Birthday girl

It seems like Nikell's 4th birthday is something we have all been looking forward to for a long time. Mostly because we all knew Presly was coming right before Nikell turned 4. Whenever the girls asked when the baby would be coming out of mommy's tummy I would always reply, "right before Nikell's birthday".
Nikell is such a sweet girl. She loves giving hugs and kisses and is a very affectionate little girl. Nikell is loving taking gymnastics, taking dance, going to preschool and playing the piano. She is always asking me what day it is because she knows that she has things on Tuesday, wednesday and thursdays. She get's so excited if it is one of those day's. Speaking of Thursdays I love the way she say's it. She say's sursday with an "s" and it sounds so dang cute!
We love our little Nikell and can't believe she is getting so big.

2 weeks old

2 weeks ago today Presly was born. I can't believe it's already been 2 weeks. It still feels so new it's like she just came home yesterday! Brooklyn and Nikell are amazing with her. They are so good to wash their hands before holding or touching her. They both have had little coughs and Brooklyn was always so awesome to wear her mask when she held her. They are such good helpers and are more then happy to go get diapers or wipes when we need them. It's so fun to see them talk to her and love her. They are seriously such good big sisters and they are going to spoil her to death!
Presly is an angel. She makes our lives easy and is definitely not a high maintenance baby. I am very grateful that she is here and that I am not pregnant anymore!!
Aunt Shannon came out when Presly was 2 day's old, she was a huge help to us and we loved having her here. Unfortunately she got the stomach flu the last day she was here. She was so miserable and I felt so bad for her! The girls had the best time with her. They loved making cookies and cake with her. Shannon is an awesome cook and I think we all gained weight while she was here!
These are a few pictures of Presly's first week home.

Ready For Home

I really do not like staying in the hospital. Its fine for the first night but after that I start to get frustrated by the nurses coming in every two seconds, shoving pills down my throat. Our second day there we were just waiting for the word that we would be able to go home. My midwife came in and took one look at my iron levels and gave us the worst news ever. My iron levels were too low and she was going to have us stay another night in the hospital:(. That last night was hard and the next day we were so ready to go home. I was very glad that Toby was able to stay with me at the hospital, it made the time go by faster.

Her arrival

Here are more pictures of Presly's arrival. One of these pictures toby caught me in the middle of a contraction. Man, those hurt! I had a new midwife this time around. Shawna Jensen was my midwife when I had Brooklyn and Nikell and I loved her! She left half way through this pregnancy to work somewhere else and I was very sad. My new midwife I loved as well though so it turned out ok. Blanka was so awesome and she made everything go very smoothly.

Welcoming Presly Jane

On Jan 25th I was finally over the stomach flu that had hit about two day's prior. I was very, very glad that I hadn't gone into labor when I was sick and I was so happy that I was starting to feel better. For some reason that day I had the sudden urge to organize my house. I started in the play room which took me about three hours and then worked my way around the entire house. I new I was probably over doing it but for some reason I couldn't stop. I guess I just couldn't be ok with the idea of going into labor and leaving my house looking the way it was. (it was bad!) So, I am pretty convinced I put myself into labor. That night at about three in the morning my water broke. I then began to have steady contractions. Brittney came in the house and Toby and I drove to the hospital. After getting all situated and checked in I got the epideral around 6:00. My contractions weren't coming fast enough so they started me on PIT. I had Presly at 9:13. It went really well other then a few issues with nausea, even though I was giving birth, I couldn't help but notice how big Toby's guns were. I still hadn't eaten very much after being sick a few day's earlier so I think the fact that I didn't have food in my stomach made me a little nauseous.
Presly Jane weighed 8lb 1oz and is 19.5 inches. She is an angel and we are so happy she is here! Brittney brought brooklyn and nikell to the hospital at about 12:30. They were so excited to see baby Presly for the first time. They both love her so much and want to hold her every 5 seconds.
