Piano

Brooklyn and Nikell have been taking piano for about a year I think and they were going to Joan McGann but Joan got married and moved away so we changed teachers.  The girls now have a cute 19 year old girl named Alice.  We met her when she would come for her own lessons with Joan the same day as we would go.  Brooklyn used to love Alice because Alice would always come early and play with her in the other room while Nikell did her lesson.  They were both very excited when they found out that Alice would be her teacher.  I was very excited because Alice comes to our house to teach them.  It makes things so much easier!!  The piano recital was definitely different with Alice then it was with Joan.  It was at the college instead of a church and it was much much smaller.  Toby wasn't complaining at all though.  I think the whole recital lasted like 10 mn. ha ha.  The girls played their Christmas songs.  Brooklyn played Jingle Bells and Nikell played Jolly Old St Nicholas.  They did a great job but for the first time I could tell Nikell was nervous.  Her bow cracked us all up because after she was done playing she did like the speediest bow ever and she didn't look up at the audience at all.  She had this bashful face, it was so cute.  Her and Brooklyn are so different.  Brooklyn doesn't seem to get stage fright at all and is happy to perform in front of anyone most the time.  Nikell is a little bit more shy.  Although Brooklyn used to always go up in church to bear her testimony and now she seems to get a little more nervous.
