Swim Team

Brooklyn decided she really wanted to do swim team this summer.  Her and her cute friend Maddi loved racing together and really had a fun summer together on swim team.  Brooklyn did so well and she received 2 heat ribbons for being the fastest in her heat.  Once for the backstroke and once for the free style.  The first time she got a heat ribbon we actually almost missed her race.  Maddi's mom Jaime called my cell and said "Tami Brooklyn's race is going NOW you have to run if you want her to make it".  Brooklyn was eating a piece of licorice as we are running to get her to the pool, trying to put her swim cap on and her goggles we were running and panicking like crazy.  She ran under the ropes and got in the water right when they race began.  She must have been in a speedy state of mind because she seriously went so fast.  I was so proud of her and I was like jumping up and down cheering for her.  When she won and she ran up to me with her black heat ribbon I started to cry.  She looked so happy and I loved seeing her cute little smile!!  Going to these swim meets are not easy.  The amount of work that goes into it is crazy, especially with two other kids.  But seeing that smile on her face when she won and seeing how excited she was, was well worth it!

Patriotic Kids

Every year around the 4th of July Misty and I take our kids pictures in front of this awesome flag wall.   It is so fun to see how much our cute kiddos grow and change through the years.  The pictures this year were so fun because we brought along a few props and made it more of a big deal.  The kids did great for the most part and we were able to catch some pretty cute moments.  Love these kids and I also love that a share this love of photography with my cute friend Misty!

Summer Vacation

It's that time of year again to head to Utah for some good times with the family.  It was so great spending time with family, first with the Goeckeritz family, we spent time at Adventure Land Learning Park.  Which by the way has changed sooooo much since when I would hang out there as a kid.  The girls fished with Grandpa and Brooklyn caught a little fish.  We also went up to the splash pad in Alpine and spent the whole day there just hanging out and watching the kids play.
The rest of our vacation was spent up at Bear Lake.  It is always my favorite thing to watch my kids have a blast with their cousins.  The lake was great, the kids can play in the sand for hours.  We also stopped at the Logan pool on our way home from Bear Lake and that was a lot of fun!  I'm grateful to have such a great family both mine and Toby's family is so fun to be around and we always really enjoy our vacations!
