Kindergarten field trip and other fun pics
I was able to go with Nikell this year to the Oakland Zoo on her kindergarten field trip. It was a fun day and I was so happy to be able to be there with my sweet little love!

Grandpa Leor
When Brooklyn was sick I got the news that my Grandpa passed away. I wasn't sure how it was going to be possible for me to go to his funeral but having known what it felt like to not be able to be there for my Grandma Branch's funeral I really didn't want to have that happen again. I feel like a never got closure with my Grandma. I remember saying goodbye to her when she wasn't doing well at her house but it made me sad that I couldn't be there for her funeral.
My Grandpa Leor is very very special to me and I really wanted to be there to see him one last time and to be there for my Grandma. Brooklyn started feeling better and Presly just had a small fever and little rash from her immunizations so I decided to go ahead and go home. Nikell came with me for a little mommy daughter trip. I don't remember her ever flying before and if she did she must have been really little. This was her first trip on a plane and she was very excited about it!
It was so nice to be able to see my Grandpa and to be there for the funeral. My Grandpa's brother, jim, sang at the funeral and something touched me so much when he was singing, his voice is so similar to my Grandpa's and for a moment I heard my Grandpa singing. It was a moment I will never forget and one I wish I could re-live.
Grandpa was always singing or humming and there are so many memories of my Grandpa that will always bring a smile to my face. Love that man!
A week after my Grandpa died, my Grandma went to the hospital because of her heart and for a moment I really thought we might lose her too. That was something I was not ok to deal with yet (even though I'm sure she would have rather gone right along with Grandpa). She is doing ok now.
My Grandma and Grandpa had such a sweet relationship. At the funeral my uncle Floyd said that numerous times when they were living at the care center (when my grandpa started having dementia) My Grandpa would say to uncle floyd, speaking about my Grandma, "who is that beautiful woman?" and then he would follow it up with "I want to marry her". He would tell it to all the nurses and he even asked my Grandma if she would marry him a number of times. I loved hearing these stories and think it is so sweet that even when his memory was lost he still felt a tie to Grandma and thought she was beautiful. Love that so much!!

Little Monster
I have to do a small post on my small little monster girl. Miss Presly is seriously quite the character and I really need to put some things on here about our feisty but sweet little girl.
A few sunday's ago Toby was out playing a little catch with Brooklyn and Nikell while I made dinner. Presly was running around outside with them and Toby hadn't really been paying much attention to her as they were throwing the ball back and forth. All of a sudden Toby turned around and low and behold, Presly is standing their with nothing on but a smile. She had removed all her clothes by herself and she had even taken off her diaper. Right away Brooklyn and Nikell started laughing like crazy and Presly loved evey second she started dancing around in circles slapping her little booty. lol I was watching through the window and was laughing right along with them. She loves getting a laugh out of everyone and learned to slap her little booty by watching Nikell do it a little too often. You would think we have never had talks about whats appropriate and what isn't but we have. Apparently they think its just way too funny to stop doing. I pick my battles;)
Presly's hair has grown like a weed in the past few months and with the beautiful curls that she has her locks can turn from beautiful to crazy mess in a matter of seconds. Our current babysitter, miranda mentioned a few day's ago, " I love Presly's hair so much, it just fits her personality perfectly". Miranda knows all too well that our little Presly is a little crazy, feisty girl and her hair does match that perfectly. She really is the cutest thing in the whole wide world though!!!
presly has just barely started to talk. The binki that she had with her at all times was kind of standing in the way of her speaking so during the day we decided to try to keep it in her crib. In the last few weeks has started to say so many new things and it is so cute to watch. She calls Brooklyn and Nikell Koo Koo and Coco. Sometimes she will call Nikell, Kell but not very often. She still calls Toby Mama sometimes and me dadda sometimes and we are trying to get that straightened out;). She say's "gog" for dog and just started saying "Moke" for milk. The other day she was really wanting a sucker and I gave her that look like "I don't think so" and she sticks her hip out and cocks her head to the side and say's "Pleeeaase mom". It was the first time she had put tso words together like that besides dane doo (thank you). She said it so well and the sassy voice she had when she said it was sooooo funny!
