Family Reunion

I just found these pictures that I forgot I had from the trip to Utah. Because we had to cut our trip to Lake Powell short we were able to go up to Utah county for the day. Toby took Brooklyn to hang out with his family and I took Nikell with me up to Brigham City for our family reunion. It was so fun seeing everyone especially my Grandma and Grandpa! Shannon and Abby drove up there with us and it was fun to hang out with them and catch up a little. Nikell loved the fish pond at my aunt's house and loved playing with Ayden. All in all i was worth the trip.

First week back at dance

The girls were so excited to start back at dance! Brooklyn decided to do Jazz/hip hop this year instead of tap and she is also taking ballet. Nikell is finally in her first full year in ballet, yeah! They both loved it and love their teachers. Nikell is so graceful and does exactly what her teachers ask her to do. Brooklyn has so much energy and loves that jazz/hip hop is more up beat and she can really move around.

I also started back assisting dance and love that I can get a work out in while I am pregnant. My class likes to watch me do hip hop because it looks a little strange with my pregnant belly. I don't let it get in the way though and still bust my move:). It has been fun being back with my dance ladies!

Back to school

This year Brooklyn could have started kindergarten which is CRAZY but we decided since her birthday is really close to the cut off we would hold her back one year. We feel like it would be nice to have her and Nikell closer in age at school and have Brooklyn be the oldest in her class rather then the youngest. I hope it was the right decision, it was a hard one to make.

Our little Nikell started preschool this year!! Wahoo!! I thought she would have a harder time with me leaving her there but surprisingly she did amazing. She gave me a kiss and said by mom, turned around and started playing. When I got back to the car I sat there for a minute realizing I was having a much harder time with it then she was. She is so sweet and so cute and my heart ached a little that she was growing up so fast. When I picked her up from school she had a grin from ear to ear! She LOVED it and her teacher said she did so great and was such a sweetheart. I am so happy that she loves it so much!

Both girls started school one week late because of our trip to lake powell. It's crazy being back in the thick of things. The girls are involved a lot in activities and they are loving it. It's also really nice for me to have one on one time with each chile everyday. Love these girls so much!!

On Brooklyn's day to go to school Nikell really wanted some pictures taken of her too. She had done her own hair and was still in her pj's but as cute as ever!!

Wind Storm

We had to cut our trip a day short. The one night Nikell and I sleep up on top of the house boat we had a big wind storm in the middle of the night. Everyone had to grab there stuff and go sleep inside the house boat. We cleaned off the beach so our chairs and sand toys wouldn't blow away and then we finally tried to lay down to go to sleep. That didn't really work so well for me because the wind was so loud. I am not really a fan of being on a lake in a storm I'm not going to lie! The next day we waited until the wind died down a little and then we took the house boat back to the slip. We had a really fun few days and were so glad we were able to go!!

Fishing

Before our trip for powell Brooklyn was probably most excited to fish with Grandpa. She talks about how she wants to go fishing all the time. The first thing she wanted to do when we got there was fish. Luckily one morning Grandpa was up for it. Brooklyn and Nikell both helped get catch the fish and they loved it! Uncle Troy was pretty awesome too and helped them out a lot!
