Cell Phone Pictures

I am taking a lot more pictures on my phone these day's because it's quicker.  Here are a few pictures from the last few months...

Some of my favorites are... Nikell singing at the top of her lungs in our car!  She does this all the time, whether it be to the sound of music, kids bop or church songs you will always find her singing!  I love it!
Toby reading scriptures to the girls on sunday night.  This is what it looks like every sunday night.  The girls love having him read the book of mormon stories!  Brooklyn's favorite story is about captain moroni, she tries to loose their place every time so they can go back and read that story over and over again.
I love all the pictures of Nikell with her best friend Kaiya.  They are attached at the hip!  They have so much fun together and they couldn't be cuter little friends!
Toby took me to the Martina Mcbride concert, good times!!
Brooklyn's first school assembly and of course her favorite food sushi,  She was so excited to take it for her school lunch!

Little Helpers

Brooklyn and Nikell for the most part are really great at helping around the house.  They clean their room when they are asked they help put the shoes away in the shoe room and they do a really good job cleaning the play room.  They complain every once in a while but for the most part they do a pretty good job.  They really love doing things when they know it will be a big help to me.  If I ask them to do something and then add to it "that will help me so much thank you"  they usually are more happy about doing it.  Brooklyn actually comes up to me and asks me if she can help me with any chores around the house.  A few day's ago I actually told her to take a rest and then when I went upstairs she had a rag and a bucket and she was cleaning the toilette!  This is a picture I took of the girls washing the dishes by hand.  They begged me to do it and then continued to do it everyday for a week.  I know this is to good to be true and they may not always be this willing but for now I'll take it!!

The Sound Of Music

I don't think I have ever gone this long without posting something.  I guess that's life with three kids.  I feel like we have had some really fun times this last little while and I want to catch up on all of those things.  First things first, a few months back the sound of music was playing at the gallo center in Modesto.  I thought it would be fun to take Brooklyn and Nikell to it.  That movie was one of my all time favorite movies when I was growing up.  I seriously had the whole thing memorized and would watch it and sing it all the time!  I loved it!  The girls got all dressed up and on the way to the play, I explained to them what the story was about.   I am glad I did because they both seemed to really understand things a lot better when they were watching it.
They absolutely loved the play!  On the drive home they were asking me to sing all the songs from it and they were trying to learn them.  When we got home Toby put the music on his phone so they could listen to it whenever they wanted.  Now, 2 months later they have every song memorized and sing them all the time.  Grandma Chris got the movie for Brooklyn and they watch it in the car as often as we allow;).  (we try to limit the tv in the car to long drives alone but that doesn't always happen).
It is fun to have something that I loved so much growing up something that my girls like as well!  I love those two!!  It is so fun going out with them they are so much fun!
