County Fair

We went to the county fair a few weekends ago as a family. Lately the girls have been obsessed with watching charlottes web. Brooklyn and Nikell were so excited to go to the fair to see wilbur. Toby was messing around with them and asking them to look out for charlotte and tempelton. When we walked over by the pigs they were excited to see a very big wilbur. It made their night. For a few months I have been experiencing some of the worst itching all over my body. The dr don't know what is going on and it is miserable to say the least. The night of the fair I was really trying to put it at the back of my mind and try to have fun even though I was miserable. The heat makes my itching much much worse and the night of the fair was really hot. It was all I could do to keep myself from scratching all over like crazy. Everyone else had a great time and we even got to here boy's 11 men sing a few songs.

Toby took a lot more pictures on his phone but now we can't find them. I also have to mention this is like the one and only time you will ever see a picture of Toby on a carousel. He gets really sick but because I am pregnant and nauseated myself he took one for the team. Such a good husband!

Big girl

Nikell is going to preschool this year and is so excited. I thought it was about time I taught her how to write her name. She has been able to spell it for a long time I have just been lazy about teaching her to write it. She loves to write her name and does it whenever she has something to write with.

Soccer pro

One of the day's we were at soccer camp we brought along the girls soccer ball. Misty was nice enough to play with Nikell for a little while. Misty used to play soccer in highschool and college and from what I here she was pretty awesome. So I take what she say's very seriously. She thinks Nikell is going to be a soccer pro;)

After Nikell played with Misty she found a opponent her own age. Little Brisa (misty's niece) and her had fun playing together.

gymnastics

Brooklyn has been taking tumbling for almost a year now and is loving it. I put Nikell in a gymnastics class at gymstars a while back because I felt like she would love doing something like that too. Well whenever we went to gymnastics for Nikell, Brooklyn would just sit there for 45mn and frankly drive me crazy. So, I put her in a class at gymstars as well. She takes at the same time as Nikell so lucky me gets a big long break and they have a great time. So yes I know brooklyn is only 4 and I have her in two gymnastics classes but, hey, it works. She loves it! Nikell just learned how to do a cartwheel and is so excited to be like her big sister. Some of the time she does a head cartwheel because she bends her arms so much but it is darling! The girls do gymnastics all over our house and it reminds me so much of myself when I was little.

more soccer

After the first day of soccer Toby kind of explained to Brooklyn how you have to run up and kick the ball away from the other kids because they wont always pass it to you. I think she realized that the other kids weren't being mean they were just trying to keep the ball to score a goal themselves. It's so hard sometimes for her to not do well at something and if she isn't feeling like she is doing a good job she doesn't really want to try at all. The next few days were a lot better then the first but she still sat down a lot and didn't seem interested in playing unless her coach held her hand. I think she likes the idea of it but isn't sure how to play exactly. She will get it.

Nikell was so good when she would come with me to soccer camp. she just plays at the little playground thats there or hangs out with me. She is such a good little girl and makes my life so easy and fun. Love her!

Swim with Barb

The girls had another session with Barbara and they loved it. They seriously do so well with her! Nikell was having a hard time when we had swimming lessons with the city pool. She would freak out if the teacher let go of her for a second. With Barbara though she was a completely different girl. She would swim by herself clear out to Barbara and clear back to the steps. She even showed us how she could swim with her big arms. She did the back float and even pulled out the monkey, butterfly, pencil. She did so well!!

Brooklyn is a really good swimmer! In these pictures if you look close you can see Brooklyn doing her different swims. The breast stroke the free style and the butterfly which is her favorite swim! She loves diving for treasures too the only problem we have with Brooklyn is she sometimes talks so much that she wastes a lot of time. It's sometimes hard to keep her focused. She does love to swim though and is working on learning to dive in it will be nice when she gets past the belly flop.

Soccer camp

A few weeks ago we put Brooklyn in a little soccer camp. She was so excited to play! Weeks before soccer started she would talk about it constantly. We got her some soccer clothes and she probably put them on every single day for two weeks. She would ask me questions about how to play soccer, she really was hoping she would play really, really well.

The first day of soccer was really hard for her. She started out really happy and excited but when they started to play real soccer she just stood around and didn't really look interested at all. Then she started crying saying that everyone was being mean because they wouldn't kick her the ball. Poor thing had a rough time but the coach was incredible with her and she really liked him.
