So in deciding when to go to Disneyland we thought first we were going to go in August but we all decided we didn't want to face the heat in the middle of August so we decided for the end of September and thought for sure it will have cooled down a little by then. Well standing in line to see the princesses at 10 in the morning I was sweating so much I thought I would die I soon realized something had gone wrong with our plan. Then I overheard a worker tell someone that this was going to be the hottest day of the year, that the day before it was 106 and today it would probably reach higher then that. Ya I was pretty upset at this news. It got to 113 in LA that day and if it weren't for the short lines, lots of icewater, slushies and Icecream we wouldn't have made it the whole day. We still had a great time and just had to over look the fact that we all smelled and looked REALLY bad;). My favorite ride that day was Pirates of the Caribbean I don't even remember anything about the ride other then how good it felt to be in the air conditioning for so long, ah bliss!! The girls loved the princesses and fairies and were very content going on the teacups, dumbo and the carousel over and over again.
One of the pictures below Brooklyn is pretending to sleep so we wouldn't make her go on PIrates or Splash mountain. At one point she told us she just wanted to go back to the hotel and take a nap. She definitely is not a fan of big rides.
So continuing on with our awesome trip... After the soda pop shop we went to check out Hollywood. I haven't ever been there and I thought it would be cool to go see the walk of fame. Unfortunately it isn't as awesome as I imagined it to be when we first drove down Hollywood blvd we saw homeless guy slunched over the garbage can puking. It was really disturbing he had really long hair and he was just letting it hang all in his face as he puked over and over again. My sister in law is pregnant and the poor thing was seriously getting so sick from seeing that, yuck!! We walked down the sidewalk and then stopped and ate at the hard rock cafe. We had a good day but it was fun to just head back to the hotel and swim in the pool!!
This was also Toby and I's 7 year wedding anniversary, love him!
