First Piano Solo Day

About two months ago Toby and I bought our first piano. We have a friend that is a Pinao teacher in our old ward Joan Mcgann. She has been teaching the Suzuki method for a while now and is a very talented teacher. We thought about just putting Brooklyn in piano for now and then starting Nikell when she turned 4 but because Nikell seemed to be ready we just put them in at the same time. The girls LOVE playing the piano! There two favorite parts are the bow they get to do before and after their lesson and also these cute finger puppet games that they get to play to help them learn their finger numbers. Joan is so great with them and they each sit through the 30 minute lesson beautifully!

a few weeks ago they had their first Solo Day. This is were they get to play in front of an audience of people. They both played Twinkle Little Star or Twinkle A. They did so great and did everything so well. I was nervous that Nikell would not want to do it because she is a little shy in front of people. She surprised me so much by jumping right up when it was her turn. Brittany came with us to watch the girls play and it meant a lot to the girls since we don't really have extended family around to come watch. We love her!








This little girl with them is Charly, she used to take swimming after the girls and they became friends!
